Regenerate soil, energy & climate resilience

Lost Glacier explores agroforestry techniques for food security in higher altitudes during rapid climate change. Resilient crops and forestry techniques are tested (high‑altitude potatoes, rye, wheat, millet, chickpeas, adaptive tree species) using biochar‑enriched soils. Lost Glacier’s project is inspired by the Gates Foundation’s Garden of the Future and people and partnerships behind some of the incredible innovations helping communities adapt in the face of climate change.

Carbon-positive comfort in the French Alps

A place to be inspired by the infinite possibilities to live more autonomously. At Lost Glacier, we don’t just aim for carbon neutrality—we go beyond it. Our biochar production locks away over 15 kg of CO₂ per day, while generating clean heat and fertile soil.
